Two lots of flooding and a layer of snow could not dampen the spirits of Katie and David for their Inn on the Lake wedding back in December. Their wedding was on the Saturday after Glenridding had flooded twice. The hotel staff were brilliant throughout the week of the flooding and did a great job of reassuring all the couples and their suppliers that the weddings were going ahead as planned. They went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure every couple had the day they had dreamed of for many months, or years. Thankfully although the village had been devastated for a second time in the matter of a week, there was no sign of what was going on outside the grounds whilst in the hotel.
The couple had a lovely layer of snow on the ground of the venue which added to the beautiful winter feel of the wedding. They had travelled to the Lake District with the friends and family for their wedding and although they had the worry in the lead up to their wedding (and slightly less grounds to enjoy their wedding in, due to a flooded garden) the Inn on the Lake provided the Lake District magic as always. What more magical time to get married than Christmas time, as well as the lovely scenery the couple had the hotels gorgeous Christmas decorations to add to the feel for their day.
Mike thoroughly enjoyed sharing the day with the couple and we wish them all the best for the future.
Katie also sent a lovely email once she received her album 'Thank you so much to you and Mike for the album its so beautiful, thank you for everything. You have been so pleasant and helpful from the beginning keeping us relaxed and putting us at ease.'
